Essentially Watchmojo has made the move to create a seperate channel called Ms Mojo that will post, as many people have pointed out, things that the stereotypical woman would like and has caused backlash because the way it was brought about and explained which was similar to how the fine bros explained their react world BS.

For fucks sake. I never watched much of WatchMojo's content to begin with, but now I sure as hell am staying away from their channel. There is literally no reason to create a "miss mojo". Fuck that.

See if society ever goes to shit it'll be because of idiocy like this. By differentiating between people in situations where there is no need (unlike women in the military), you are implicitly discriminating. It's like affirmative action.

I'm just looking on bemusedly for the whole FineBros Fiasco. King, a mobile game company, successfully managed to trademark "Candy". At least they didn't pull it off in the FineBros case.

Firstly the fine bros scenario is HORRIBLY misleading, being that while yes they trademarked a word, ITS TO DEFEND THEIR BRAND.
Secondly, the mentioned channels are companies and trying to make money.
And the watch mojo thing... I don't really know. I doubt they're actually sexiest, and more so just trying to employ the best marketing strategy for more views and (by extension) money and ads.
Thinking of these decisions as decisions made by people is both technically true and gives the complete wrong picture. They are decisions made by companies, and the company is in the best interest of making money. They aren't motivated by wanting to make change to the world, space exploration, curing disease, etc. Most of those are PR stunts. So while I disagree with the decisions made by the two COMPANIES named above, I do want to make sure that in this discussion it IS the companies being discussed, rather than one or two of the individuals involved, especially if said companies...
