All of them.
They take amazing works and butcher them beyond recognition while simultaneously making us cringe.
Fuck you.
Like something in silence, alright?

You think that I think some vague comment I write on a backwater obscure meme cesspool will inspire drastic change in one of the largest websites on the Internet?
Fucking hilarious

@sero and xguest its not that she posts too much, its just that theyre all selfies
slamdunkey · 8 years ago
Yeah, but contextually speaking, if I actually was trying to make it happen, why the fuck would I go here?
literallygod · 8 years ago
That's an excellent question. So why did you bother posting that if you knew it would accomplish nothing?

I hate WALK THE MOON, Just because shut up and dance was super annoying and was played waaay too long.
slamdunkey · 8 years ago
It was an impulse decision. I don't say everything to make change happen, sometimes I just decide to share my opinion. This being something I feel strongly about, I thought I would share.

Okay, that's fair. But who are you to dictate how people are to enjoy their show/celebrity/book/TV series? And how the hell do they "butcher them beyond recognition"?
slamdunkey · 8 years ago
That's the thing, I'm not trying to dictate or control. I'm being wishful here. I know that people are people, and as long as stuff exists, people are going to obsess over them.
What I meant by 'butcher beyond recognition' was that all the fan art and fiction takes what was originally a fantastic piece of media (for example, Undertale or Five Night's at Freddy's) and makes you cringe whenever you think about it. Of course, it's not exclusive to fanmade content - it's the angry 12 year old who leap to defend their favourite anime or TV series whenever someone vaguely mentions it in a bad light that make me cringe. I won't go into Tumblr's bizarre obsession with Supernatural's actors.
Can you at least see where I'm coming from?

I can

Thank you based Sero

You make a good point, but I fail to see how fanart of something can ruin the thing - perhaps I'm not as sensitive as you when it comes to the purity of my fandom. And while yes, 12 year olds refusing to listen to another because the other person disagrees with them is drastic, simply defending your enjoyment of a show is not. Just thought I'd put that out there.

Do you see how ducked up FNAF became?
Ponies, Porn, Porn Ponies, Fanart so idiotic that it doesn't pertain to the story whatsoever.
That's just scratching the surface.
slamdunkey · 8 years ago
I admit it is a vocal minority, but it's minor in the least sense of the word. There are fans who simply enjoy what they see, expand on it, and discuss it with other fans. I have no problem whatsoever with them. It's the ones who go overboard that make me want to dolphin dive off a bridge more than I already want to

Also what Sero wrote is extremely helpful in demonstrating what I'm talking about (thanks bud)

always happy to help
literallygod · 8 years ago
Ah- I was not aware of the FNAF situation (my apologies, but what happened?). And thank you for clarifying that's it's only the disturbing slice of the fandom that you hate. After all, it would make no sense in the slightest to hate all fandoms because of the minority and to judge every fandom regardless of your interactions with them.

I don't hate the fandoms I never even reacted with.
I just hate the fandoms that I've:
1. Interacted with.
2. Seen mostly the dark side of them, like FNAF and Undertale(not all examples)
