I guess I am worried about how others would look at her it seems to me that society frowns down on things like this...

As far as other people go, screw that. So long as she is the type of person that can handle the ridicule, it's a non issue. Things to worry about include why she's with someone so much older, like I'd it for the right reasons. Is he living with his latents because it's cheaper or because he can't live in his own and take care of himself. Things like that. Sure it's a weird situation. But if there's nothing actually wrong, there nothing wrong. You know her and you know the relationship. Maybe tell her your a little concerned with how it looks but you still support her

You're welcome. But if you ever feel you need to bring it up to her make sure you do. It's your job as her friend to look out for her. The age difference is a little large on this one, so things may get rocky

Some guys and to some extent. It's more of a she's still this young and he's actually this mature (and if he's not that's an issue possibly) rather than the actual number of years. Typically it doesn't work because of little things that re different, but they pile on in no time. How long have they been together anyway?
