Hmm... I think it depends on both people's personalities. Before getting married, I simply wouldn't stay in a relationship if the other person's personality didn't mesh well with mine.

That's what my parents always say. Yet, I worked in a fast food restaurant as a teen and sometimes it gets too damn busy to do it all. I always pick up after myself.
