Yes, but if you reread your previous comment, then it seemed like you still didn't fully get my point.

@trashmanrevenge I'm going to try to break it down as simply as I can. If, after this, you're still confused, someone else can help. 1) Let's assume closing time is 6pm. 2) Usually, there are still customers in the store at 6pm because they were in the checkout line a bit beforehand and no business is going to turn them away just because it's technically 6pm (let's assume there are 10 customers in various lines who lined up anywhere between 5:45 and 5:59pm). 3) Someone tries to ENTER the store from outside at 6:01pm and realizes the ENTRANCE is locked (we'll call this person Alex). 4) A customer who was already IN the store is finished with his/her transaction and is leaving the store through the EXIT door (a door which can not be opened from the outside). 5) Alex (remember that she/he is outside past 6pm) holds open the EXIT door and has now gained access to the store's interior and proceeds to try to begin shopping. 6) That used to happen AT LEAST once a month.

Did you read one of my previous comments? People would enter through the exit door when customers (who were already in the store before closing time) would open that exit door in order to leave.

No, that's not the case at all. I tried explaining myself, you kept going back to insisting that I'm unjustly offended, I realized that you're stuck on that, so I would like to know why that bothers you so much. I assume it's because you want me to admit that you're right because you just referred to my "losing," and that just plain strays from my original comment. So, if you need to be right to feel good about yourself, I'm sure some other like-minded people here will agree with you if you ask them. I stick by my original comment and that's that.

I'm not butt hurt. I even said I wasn't being hateful. You don't have to agree with my opinion, but to accuse me of being "butt hurt" just because you don't agree with it is worse than my original opinion.

Although I'd like to agree with you, the unfortunate reality is that that stuff is not the norm for some people. Of course, doing that stuff does not guarantee a healthy relationship at all, but they're basic things we look for in potential love interests. I know someone with poor hygiene who is lazy af and he keeps complaining about how he can't get a girl. No one is going to want to take the time to learn about his personality, etc if they can't even stand his damned stench.

Even if it's "your job," that doesn't change the fact that it sucks to miss family dinners, plans with friends, etc because your shift was supposed to end at 6, but it's now 8.

Oh I understand the confusion. My point wasn't a gender one. It was a numbers one. In this post, the male is alone. Females are usually in a group. Does that make more sense?

I'm allowed to not like one line of dialogue from a fantastic movie. It seems to me that people are getting offended by that.

I'm not sure I understand your comment. When I worked in retail, customers would come in even just one minute before closing time. I wish I were exaggerating, but that's sadly not the case. We would lock the entrance door at closing time, but people would sneak in through the exit door when another customer would leave. I think the only time customers didn't try this nonsense was during World Cup games.

Many things are "natural," but the great thing about being human is that we have metacognition, language, morals, etc. We can reflect on our thoughts and actions and *gasp* make choices. No one is disagreeing that the real world can be cruel, but it's not right to assume that intimidation, harassment, etc. (e.g., telling someone to kill themselves) is a normal and healthy aspect of the real world.

Why is this in response to my comment? At no point did I say that no animal kills lions. I'm confused!

It's a male lion alone against a herd of tough mothafuckas. Usually, the female lions do the hunting and they do so as a group to take down solitary creatures or a small, manageable group of creatures. He made a smart decision.
