I'm confused. I don't get how the message implies anything about the friend zone. My husband is my best friend and he's definitely not in the friend zone.

I just find it odd how Albertans would agree (particularly during a recession) to directly fund Quebec's initiatives (particularly musical bus stops). I can imagine there would be many protests, yet I haven't heard of any in the news.

I'm sorry but I'm still a bit confused. Did Quebec get 50% of those payments directly from Alberta, or from the federal government as a whole? Where can I find this information? I'm very interested to see the stats and learn more. TIA

I really love that response! I can imagine, however, some people insulting the responder for being "full of oneself," and that makes me sad.

How would Quebec get a hold of Albertans' tax dollars? Bus stops in Montreal are the responsibility of the STM, a municipal business. If you could explain your comment, I'd really appreciate it. TIA

What kind of sick weirdo freak honks at someone leaving a parking spot? I'd go extra slowly just to really grind their gears.

Ok... I guess I understand her reasoning. However, other criminals could use similar arguments. Prison would be stressful for most people, so others could have stress-related health problems. Let's not forget how many people commit suicide in prison. So, in the end, her reasoning is still ridiculous. She killed someone and needs to face appropriate consequences. If she gets a lesser type of punishment because of her weight, then that will set precedence for anyone else who is obese and who commits crimes.

I don't understand how that could even be an excuse. Someone please explain.

I think that many would talk back anyway. It would be important to also teach students to question things in a respectful manner (to have a discourse, rather than an argument).

@metalman I definitely understand your point, but (simply playing Devil's advocate here) couldn't we argue that the education system should do a better job of teaching students from a younger age to think more critically? I was first challenged to think more critically when I was in college, a privilege that not everyone has in today's world.
