I don't really think oil is the problem. North Korea has a friend in China, and America and it's allies can't afford to alienate them. Also, the only results to an invasion would be A) America loses, which would be terrible, B) America wins and takes over the country, in which case other countries might feel threatened by the power grab and tensions would rise and we might even get another World War or Cold War as everyone freaks out (remember how tense everyone got over Russia in Ukraine? And that wasn't even declared war!), plus there'd be the issue of how to divide it among the allies, or C) America wins and tries to install a new government and we have the same situation as in the Middle East, and whether you think what America did was right or wrong, you can't deny that people would not exactly be keen to do that again.
