I would say that we (being a Swede) have about the same amount of police officers per capita as the US has. Which means that whilst the cities are smaller the police force is also smaller. When it comes to crime Sweden isn't a perfect place, by no means, we have gang wars too. However, many other countries do not care of the "everyday" crimes and violence that occur in a smaller country, which is why you perhaps have not heard that much of it. However, I feel like I have to stress a couple of things. First, In Sweden guns are not legal, so with automatically less people carrying guns, less gun related violence will occur. Second, We do have a smaller income gap between rich and poor, thus crime of the violent kind (eco-crime therefore not included) might (stress the might part) be a bit lower. Third, we are taught from an early age that police officers are to be respected, and that they are here for our protection, which we are also SHOWN.

For me equality is not that there should be for example a 50/50 divide of the gender at a workplace, for me it is that one should not even consider gender when hiring, or deciding pay etc, it should all be based on performance. What I find wrong tho is something that they do here in Sweden, to be a firefighter you have to pass a couple of tests, the tests for women are "easier" with lighter weights etc. then a man. There should be no separation between the sexes here, just that the best person, man or woman, should be hired/accepted to the programme.

This happened many times to me a few years ago. The great thing was that no girl ever hesitated when starting to talk to me, just whisper "I need to get away from this guy" or something similar and I would always get help, and a good giggle out of it. I dont know why anyone would be mean to you for it, perhaps Ive been really lucky (Or hopefully in Sweden, during those circumstances girls realize that bitchyness doesnt help anyone)

Woman judge muscularity different than men do 47 comments

I dont like guys that are too big (either overweight or muscles) or guys that are skinny. "Healthy" is the word that Im looking for, people should have some meat on their bones, broad shoulders is attractive yes, and a narrowER waist than shoulders.. but as one said, personality matters too.. it goes hand in hand. Looks without personality=the person gets ugly immediately.. and lovely personality but not my looks=the guy gets more attractive.
