Well if he did hide a chest and someone finds it maybe they will find it in their hearts to donate it to charity. Forrest hid the chest to leave himself a legacy for anyone to find. Let's just hope the person who finds it chooses to do something meaningful with it.

Also, it's a movie. About wars in Space. Which basically guarantees that planets are going to blow up. Also he didn't blow it up because he was raised by two men. If one of them was a women he probably still would have done it. But yes he still had a mother, who gave him away to give him a chance at a better future. And qui-gon did die really soon after they met, so no he wasn't raised by two men. I probably contradicted myself quite a lot but who cares. The message this picture is relaying is a load of poop.
