America totally used to have that (of course, I haven't looked for it recently, so I don't know if we still do, but I totally grew up eating that stuff)

This is why healthcare systems and laws that work in countries like Germany or Italy don't work in America. A state is bigger than your countries!

Which is typical in every single child born, which is why these helmets are dumb. That soft spot grows solid and these helmets are a way for doctors to get money.

Although this is cool, these types of helmets are completely ridiculous. If your child is held and played with constantly, instead of kept in a car seat or crib all day, your child's head isn't going to end up being flat when they grow up. These helmets have become such a fad, it's preposterous!

My brother got suspended in junior high because a kid at school was bullying him and punched him. My brother didn't even fight back, and he STILL got suspended.

Paying for college 38 comments

How horrible that you have to pay for college applications. You also have to pay to go to college, pay for your car--OMG!--and pay for your house. Why not have to pay for your college too? Fact of life: you have to pay for everything. And it's means more when you do.

When people talk about gender equality all the time 5 comments

I don't see gender equality as women being looked at the same way men are. I think some women have really taken everything a step too far. I want to be equal with a man, as in a partner with him. I want to be able to share thoughts and emotions, I don't mind cooking if he doesn't mind doing the dishes after. I don't mind doing the laundry, if he helps me fold it. This is equality to me--sharing in tasks. And me, if he's working on the car, I'm going to drive to buy the parts he needs or fix him a good lunch. If he wants to watch a movie or his favorite show, I'll let him because he's let me watch my favorite in the past.

The Big Bang is partially correct; the earth is matter was arranged from chaos. But things don't just randomly happen for no reason.

And you trust everything you read on wikipedia? When I did my English undergrad, no professor would accept a paper that cited wikipedia.

I'm a woman, and I've never done this. Besides, I want to see where they got the statistics of singing in the shower and peeing in the shower, because I've never been asked those questions.

I can understand this is she implies living somewhere cold. For example, in Utah, spring lasts about a month. Winter lasts at least 6 months, and then it's spring, quickly summer, about 2 weeks of autumn, and then winter again.

Riding a horse to work 8 comments

That's not true; I live in America, in a pretty rural area, and there are elementary kids who ride their horses to school, tie them up out front, and then ride them home when school is done.
