As I bit down on the cardboard flavored cafateria pizza i glanced over at my best friend,Julie. Yesterday her clock had clattered to the floor in homeroom and in that moment a tall,curly haired boy had walked into the classroom with wide eyes and a goofy grin on his face. She had shot up from her seat and ran at him,throwing her arms around his neck. The whole class had clapped and cheered while I roled my eyes in annoyance. Don't get me wrong,I was extremely happy for Julie,but this whole soul mate clock thing wasn't really my cup of tea. It seemed like nobody wanted a surprise in their life.
