A lesson for parents 7 comments

Kinda depends on what you tell them too. You can't expect to tell your parents you sneaked out last night, did a bunch of drugs and drank and then drove around town and then expect your parents to laugh it all off just because you told them about it. Extreme example but you get the idea

Shouldn't be "You are not allowed to smoke anymore." just "As long as you smoke, other people are not going to pay for your lung cancer treatment" Or, "As long as you are 400# overweight, other people are not going to pay for your diabetes treatment"

Thats what the UN is for. No single country should be invading any other country for whatever reason unless an organization of many countries (ie the UN) deem it necessary. Especially if there are many surrounding countries that see it as an act of aggression against them. Remember when the US invaded Iraq to depose a fascist leader to "help the people of Iraq"? Remember how much backlash the US got for doing it? Remember the "thanks and appreciation" or the lack thereof the US got from all those civilians?

Joking around in class will get you nowhere in life 5 comments

This is as bad as the people that drop out of school and go "look at me! I'm successful and I didn't even graduate!" Ya on the rare occasion, and I mean SUPER rare, that person that jokes around in class or drops out of school ends up being successful, but more often than not that is NOT the case whatsoever. Telling kids this is just asking for them to do it. People are stupid enough as it is, at least convince them to pay attention in class and graduate so they arent quite as retarded.

To be fair, you'll spend ~8 hours sleeping + an hour or 2 before and after sleeping in that room. Thats nearly half of your time spent in your room. Shouldnt skimp out too much on it
