I'm a girl and you are absolutely right about this. I'm studying Social Work and just had a course on Domestic Violence against men and it was just horrible what we learned. There are like 3 institutions in my whole country where men who are victims of domestic violence can get help. Think about how many there are for women. We talked about cases where the police simply did not believe the men that a woman could be the violent one in a relationship. In these cases the kids almost always stayed with the violent mom because the social workers could not see past their prejudices that man are the violent ones. There a lot of downsides to being a woman but there are also a lot of downsides to being a man.
