Sounds more like a best friend than a parent. Lots of parents want to abdicate the difficult role for that of "friend." Unfortunately, there's nobody else to fill the void left by a mother or father. But, as long ass it makes you feel good, that's what really matters, right?

Unless it's your *English* teacher. Then, "not gonna get no sleep" means she WILL get sleep because of the double negative.
