It really is contemptuous that someone would either or purchase or manufacture sweaters for penguins while stepping over a dozen homeless folks on the way to and from the supply store to do so. I lived in my car for a year trying to find a job to support myself in college. I refused to strip and so sell my body, and I wasn't eligible for any kind of welfare because I'm a white male. I finally found a job at a coffee house. Now, my life is great. But I have to tell you, penguins are pretty far down on my list of "desperately in need of free clothing." If you hate people so intensely that you'd rather be around animals day and night fr the rest of your life than to help the homeless, then you're the problem, not people.
