But the concrete one, which is a perfect example of the brutalist architecture style, has already been replaced with a new building in 2013. New demands require new buildings which are often built in the most popular style in that given moment, maybe in 20 years people will feel sad about the demolition of the concrete building.

I live pretty close to it, its really impressive. My home town has caves that the american army used as a rest stop during the second world war, many soldiers left autographs and drawings in the caves when they stayed there.

We have something similar in the Netherlands, every 4th of May at 8o clock there is an official 2 minutes of silence in remembrance of those that died in Ww2, and the 5th of May is liberation Day with lots of festivities.
