Animal lives are equal to that of a human, but that doesn't mean that the loss of a human life is any less devastating.

It is utterly barbaric that people still do this. How about when that scientists wife is pregnant (or the scientist herself, depending on gender) we cut them open at 4 months and put their unborn baby in a petri dish and post it to the world under the title "Look how cool". To be clear this is not an attack on the OP but on the barbarian who did this to so many unborn chickens. Animals matter too.
