Whilst it is true that there has been an increase in diagnoses of depression and anxiety (for example, according to YoungMinds, children between ages 15 and 16 diagnosed with depression nearly doubled between 1980s and 2000s), the fact remains they are in the minority. Between ages of 5 and 16, for example, only 10% of such children suffer from recognizable depression. These individuals are not the problem; it is the sane and mentally capable who claim to represent them with overly-zealous fervor, demanding that the majority of the world change to suit the minority. Political correctness, social justice, and all the drama the two entail. They play the victim and whine and complain - hence, you have this image here.
