Regarding the word "colonel", I think it's just because English took this word from another language. It also exists in French, and it's pronounced exactly the way it is written, plain and simple.

"Medievil punishment"? You'll just end up having some wounds, it's not like it's designed to cut off your penis or something. Plus, if you feel that it's an awful punishment, please rethink what it's like to be raped, and if you have more compassion towards the "poor rapist" than the victims of rape, you need psychiatric help.

That's a pretty valid opinion, but still based on the strong opinion that "it is the way it is". Minimum wages are not really decent in a vast majority of countries. I wish we could be paid way more for jobs that tend to be exhausting for terrible salaries (including, but not limited to, factory work, catering, cleaning...)

A relationship is about growing together, and we all have to face our pain and fears to grow. When you are engaged with someone that makes you feel stronger even in your darkest moments, you know you have a great relationship with him/her.
They could not have kids, and it was terrible for both of them, but they still went on, grew from it, and found happiness in each other's arms. It may not be the happiest couple ever shown in a movie, because real life is never a fairytale, but they learnt and grew together, and ended up happy together. Life goals, man.

These people aren't pro-life, they are pro-birth. The babies can then have the shittiest lives, children may die of starvation, and they won't blink an eye. That's what happens when your morals and ethics are taken from books instead of consciously built from your own thinking.

"Seeing" is not part of the reality of people that are born blind. However, their other senses (and don't say "their four other senses", we actually have far more than 5 senses) are more developed, as they rely on them. Some blind people can distinguish between colors by putting their hands on some surfaces (lighter colors reflect a lot more, thus are a bit hotter).

It actually works really fine with any human. I tried the "you look so cute when you're angry" line on my girlfriend yesterday. For two very long seconds, she looked me dead in the eyes, not knowing if she should freak out or laugh, then she laughed. Don't know if I dodged a bullet or made a good decision.

Let's talk about the fact that false rape accusations are a borderline-inexistent crime, but every time a false rape accusation is spotted, every-funking-one talks about it. For a single false accusation, there are thousands of actual rapes, with the vast majority of rapists not getting any jail sentence for what they did. And this is only one of many reasons why comparing false rape accusation to actual rape makes no sense to me.
