I don't get why the ad banning on the religious holidays (not ANZAC day) is still a thing when our country's so diverse, but watching back-to-back Christmas specials is nice

This is actually false. The rumours about him being sodomized to death only surfaced years after his demise, due to suspicion that he was homosexual. It was a way of further humiliating him - a king whose wife forced him off the throne and who took male lovers. He was more likely smothered to death or starved.
