It's extremely dangerous for both sides that women are viewed as the weak gender and men the though ones. Let's put rape as an example:
If a man is sexually harassed, chances are he will be laughed at or taken as a 'pussy'. Masculinity standards make men defendless and exposed and their voices aren't heard (because who wants to be called a faggot, eh?)
On the other hand, women are raped more often that men (because they may seem incapable of defending themselves).
Sometimes people even claim that victims were "asking for it" (aka with the clothes they were wearing, etc..). As if it was the victim's fault.
