And when you point it out to them all you hear is: "You yourself talk all the time when I'm trying to watch TV so don't even start complaining!"

At my school you had to go to music and art class from grade 1 to 6, in grade 7 to 10 you have two years art and two years music class and in grade 11 to 13 you have to choose one of them (at some schools you can also take theater/drama). Biology, Physics and Chemistry didn't really exist in grade 1 to 4, in grade 5 and 6 we had Biology and Chemistry and both teachers tried to add some Physics. In grade 7 to 10 we always had two of the three subjects in alternating ways. And in grade 11 to 13 we had to choose at least one of them, with the option to choose either a second science class or a second language class. Math is mandatory in all grades. So in my city/country they try to make everyone take everything.
