But this issue goes the other way around too, I choose to wear a hijab and people still think I'm brainwashed or value my opinion as less just because of my faith. I don't think faith and education are exclusive things that cannot exist together. If people just called it oppression when a government is enforcing it down someone's throat I completely understand, but that's not what happens. Almost a 100% of the time, when I see posts on oppression and how backwards "muslim culture" is, it is never about actual islam and while loosely based on a country or two that takes things beyond what God has asked of us, it conveniently fails to mention that. I live in a 100% muslim nation that practices shariah law. The government funds my degree in Computer Science. We aren't oppressed because of just our faith. We are oppressed in countries where people act like animals. You don't help us by attacking what we wear, you help us by rallying against the actual people that DO attack girls.

What was his job though? Perhaps wearing pants is a safety precaution. Many jobs utilizing chemicals (like pesticides) or welding require full pants and long sleeve shirts for safety.

Continuation)) be how it works, the lady next to me was extremely nervous and breathing hard and I'd be lying if I said I also wasn't nervous, well ten minutes pass and the lights all come back on and our beloved pilot returns over the intercom "Sorry about the delay everyone but the warning light has gone off and we should be good to go." Within minutes we where in the air and that is still the only flight I have never been able to sleep on, for those who are wondering, yes we made it to Paris fine.

So I had been in Africa traveling the continent for over a month I was the only American on the tour, thus being alone at an airport in Nairobi Kenya for my first flight before landing in Paris and then heading back to the States. Boarding and all went fine, we where all seated a d fine but we had been sitting for a solid five mins not too bad, we started moving down the runway before pulling along to a little side road ( not quite sure how accurate that description is because it was dark and had no idea what the airport layout was) and parked. We sat there for a good ten mins when what I presume was the pilot came over the intercom to say, "Sorry for the delay everyone, one of the engine lights are red and saying that it has a problem, since an airplane is a giant computer we're just gonna turn the plain off for ten minutes then start it back up and see if that fixes." As the intercom cuts off all the lights and everything went off just darkness and I was like this can't possibly

Just had a look at what Applebee’s is. The food looks pretty good. To be honest, she sounds like a stuck up bitch. It's pretty funny that no matter how much money some people get, they'll never have any class.

Its called community service all prisons do it. It gives them the opportunity to learn skills and interact with society in a positive manner while giving back to the community. Its an important step in their rehabilitation and reintegration.

No fuck that. The days of legitimate worker strikes because of unfair wages or unsafe working conditions are a century past. Striking union workers today do so because the union tells them to, and usually because the union is trying to play hardball in negotiations with the employer. Why? Usually because the employer balks at something like doubling wages, fully paid insurance for life, or an obscene amount of paid vacation. Greedy unions and entitled union employees are what have driven the cost of "made in America" way the hell up and the quality way the hell down, and have driven so many employers out of the country.
Story time; the last time I saw a picket line I stopped out of morbid curiosity and asked why they were striking. I was told by everyone there that they didn't know why, they were only there because they were paid by the union to hold signs. I only buy from non-unionized stores and manufacturers and when I see picket lines I give em the old one finger salute.

As an EMT, I can confirm. All it takes is the person to puncture an artery or major organ to go into shock. If you're driving and all of the sudden go into decompensated shock youre really endangering yourself and the driver's around you.
