Your insurance bill is due 19 comments

My 3 year-old nephew has CP and it is a constant struggle with the insurance company not wanting to supply "non-basic healthcare needs". A lot of it is not about being a convenience, its about allowing him to become mobile and independent so as he gets older he doesn't need round the clock care because he is able to do things for himself. In many cases, if insurance companies took the long view, these "conveniences" would cost them less in long term care.

Not just religious organizations, most non-profits don't pay taxes. But yes, pick out one small piece of the pie and make them evil....

@stonedknight - one sided. My advice is to be wise with your wording, scale down wherever possible. Also, if you have the time (which I know is hard when amss applying) try to tailor your resume or cover letter to have the key words posted in the job description/requirements.

It is not always that "simple" of a solution. Those with true mental issues may refuse help or medication. There are those who actively choose to be homeless (as a result of mental issues) then to accept help from family, friends, shelters, government.....

You're kidding right?
Early 1930s - Synthetic testosterone development and research began
1937 - first clinical trial on humans
WWII - Nazi's tested anabolic steroids in concentration camps
1940s - The eastern block countries focused on developing steroids specifically for their athletes
1952 - Russian wrestlers and weight lifters dominated the olympics due to using synthetic testosterone
The US didn't officially develop them until 1958...but they were just late to the party

Matt Damon, Rooney Mara Lead All-Star Plea To Stop Brutal Dog Slaughter In China 4 comments

I agree but this festival is not just about eating dogs raised for meat. They steal people pets ad believe that the more the animal is abused the better the meat so its more than just about the slaughter, its about the ethics behind obtaining the thousands of animals and their treatment prior to the slaughter.

Have you ever been around someone with dementia or Alzheimer? That type of an code system is probably for a memory unit. It not that they are annoying or in your way. its they need constant, round the clock supervision, often requiring medical care. Often balance is also impaired so it is a physically demanding job that not everyone can handle.

Eye color tends to be taught as an oversimplification. It is possible for blue eyed parents to have brown eyed children. There's something like 10 genes not 2 that create eye color creating more of a pool of genes to determine color rather than a rudimentary punnett square.

It actually costs us money not having it. Many things have to be special made for america compared with the rest of the word. In addition there have been costly mistakes because of the confusing between the systems, like what happened with the mars climate orbiter,
