How is the tuition argument stupid? The whole point is that I DO want a degree but now im doomed to a life of debt because of unfair tuition prices. What part of me, and millions of other college students, speaking out against that unfairness is stupid?

Not to detract from the seriousness of the situation in missouri, but my school, University of California, Riverside, just had a protest concerning recent spikes in tuition. There are real issues that college students take on and challenge through protest (racial problems at mizzou, unfair tuition prices almost anywhere). Calling all of us student-protesters "fragile" undermines the legitimacy of our causes and the seriousness of our situations.
