First, "The problem with this generation" complaint has existed as long as people and language. The only real difference is there's now a name, Millennials, to focus all the criticism to.
Second, it's not just Millennials that are "The Problem." I'm seeing more and more people my age (late 40's) and older than think they're more important than anyone else, the rules don't apply to them, and everyone better bow down and kiss their precious little asses. It's getting absurd the number of people that feel they can do whatever they like now, and how quickly they fly into a rage when anyone dares to question them. Millennials have their share of unique problems, certainly, but they're not "The Problem" these days.

It doesn't know why the beeping stopped, or even why it started, but the beeping came before the shock and now the beeping stopped, so..

Few people claim they're "dumb," just that they are animals. Project Nim confirmed this theory.

The dialog is unrealistic, unnatural.
The person telling the story is a "hero," putting the other person in their place.
Little detail is given about the other person. They're simply a prop to support the "hero."
There's a strong lesson to the story. It's not just something that happened.
It's ultimately harmless, but likely never happened outside of the mind of the person that wrote it.
