Wholeheartedly disagree "a good girlfriend will appreciate what she gets" You got her a ring that is the exact opposite of what she wants and she is supposed to wear it forever. You are telling her you don't care about what she likes or is interested in. You followed no hints she left. Didn't bother to check her Pinterest board. Didn't care about asking opinions on friends rings. Rings seen on billboards, internet ads, passing by at the mall. Didn't ask her what she likes. Don't understand or appreciate her style. Chances are, if you're getting engaged, there was probably some kind of ring talk/hints/SOMETHING to help you. Sorry for the long rant I feel really passionately about people just saying you should be happy with whatever he picks. I would be devastated if the person I was spending forever with didn't even know me well enough to pick of a piece of jewelry I would like.
