Why did he build it? Because he was broke from abandoning several big projects and no entity would give him money anymore. He offered up a "Death Ray" to the US government but they had loss faith in him (especially when he admitted alot of the technology he'd need wasn't exist yet) So when they turned him down, he went to foreign governments and even enemy nations of the US offering them the exact same weapon. even they turned him down because of his reputation.
Finally when secret agents ransacked his hotel looking for the plans and found absolutely nothing, he confessed that he hadn't written them down and "kept them in his head" because he didn't trust anyone. Hero. right.

Oh and the Death Ray? He did invent that, or at least everyone including him believed he did. He scaled up a tesla coil and "invented" a way to direct the energy over miles. He claimed it would "-bring down a fleet of 10,000 enemy airplanes at a distance of 250 miles." as well as "-cause armies of millions to drop dead in their tracks."

Ok so i take german in school and Dicke means Fat/thick it is not at all innapropriate it is the language and it is very rude to post this, i myself am not german but am only half and i find this very insulting, it is not our fault that our language interfreres with english slang!

Actually yes. He was genius but also morally and ethically bankrupt. The man couldn't hold a home and lived in a luxury hotel room for the latter portion of his life that he habitually couldn't afford. He renegaded on every contract he was entrusted to keep and never saw through on his promises of profit for any investor who was blinded by brilliant ideas. He routinely tried to turn every invention he owned into a weapon (Radio controlled boats. Why? So he could attack anyone who came near the coast with futuristic tech)

Too many people are bought into the idea that their piece of the pie is a gift from their boss, or that they are part of the ruling class even though they control pretty much nothing. So they wouldn’t do it. Even though it benefits them, they wouldn’t do it. It benefits people they don’t “identify with”.

Better idea for women: A place where the guys wear suits and tuxedos, and stop and listen to the endless ceaseless BS stories that they want to tell. For example, "Did you get groceries today?" should be a yes or no answer, but the waiters at the women's fantasy bar will sit through all the meanderings of the "shopping adventure," including stories about people he doesn't know who were also at the store and how the cashier said the coupon couldn't be combined with the other sale price when it plainly was good for what the woman was buying. Oh, and also the offshoot story that came to mind during the parts about people he doesn't know, but that person was at a wedding of another person he doesn't know or care about but this thing happened to them...

Here's the problem with calling it egalitarianism: There are events just for girls, like an engineering day at the near ups college's engineering school, or a girls in flight program at the air field. There are no equivalent boys programs.
I see that at a large shopping site online that it's possible to direct your business to women-owned companies. My boss hired a woman and was really pleased because it let him check off a box on *his* review that he was promoting "diversity." There are countless examples of giving girls and women some advantage, but now we're at the point where 51% of college degrees are awarded to women. So why are we still giving advantages to "level,the playing field?"
What's wanted now is not equality but privilege. Is everything now fair? Of course not. But all this pushing advantages for people with XX chromosomes is nothing more than bias and it always goes one way. But you can't advance equality with inequality. So, be honest about desiring privilege.

How does this have no "thumbs up?" It accurately answers the question posed of "Why didn't someone teach me these important life skills?" It turns out that when your dad or uncle or neighbor tried to do that, you were too busy or too tired or didn't feel like it or too engaged in sending memes to your friends about why nobody caused this knowledge to be transmitted into your head with no effort or time on your part.

The reason is the matches. Fire is a big game changer in survival like this. I doubt a majority of us could start a fire with what we are giving in A. Also, you could make rope out of tree fibers or vines ( pretty common in tropical, warm/wet climates). And literally every tv show on survival shows how to make a basic shelter with what’s around you. The pot can boil water or you could catch rain water with it as well. The cross bow seems cool and all but will probably only get small game or birds. And you can remove the blade on the spear for a knife if you want.
B seems to be the logical choice in long term survival.
