What's so wrong about tat? 11 comments

Some employers prefer people with ink and or piercings. They feel those people fit the culture better and/or provide the image they want to the public. Some people won't or are reluctant to date people without tattoos, people without tats are often seen as uptight, conservative, timid, or just "not cool." We have people who's only job is public image, and its lucrative. Everything you do is judged by someone, from how you speak to how you stand to how you choose to look. All of our choices send a message about us, and we are aware certain choices are perceived a certain way. We can choose to limit ourselves to how we want to be perceived, or we can choose expression knowing there are consequences for our actions and accepting that. Most of us will moderate the choice based on situational context. So ink or no ink, haters gonna hate, the world is not required to like you or support your choices, that's why theyre you're choices. You make em, you live with em good or bad.

-Two men enter, one man leaves
-When is daddy coming with the
Digiorno?
- "is it a boy?" "It's Digiorno."
- The war began with pineapple
Digiorno.
- He loved Digiorno more than me.
- Child sized Digiorno for sale, unused
- Goodbye control, thanks for trying Digiorno.
- Across the wastes, everywhere, its
Dogiorno.
- I went to prom with Digiorno.
- Mom is gone, she left Digiorno.
- How many must die for Digiorno?
- Love? There is only Digiorno now.
- The pain was real, why Digiorno?
- It is not delivery, it's Digiorno.

I mean- basically every mutant villain ever was born that way including some of fictions most powerful characters. Since they show joker though we will keep it to that universe. Clay face, mr. freeze, bane, Killer croc, poison ivy, man bat... that's not even scraping the bottom of his roster. And lest we forget that while batman was born into money, he was always intelligent and it was decades of hard work that gave him his vast array of skills. If you took his money away and changed his whole life we can't say what would happen, but all evidence suggests batman is just as willing if not slightly less capable of fighting any foe with or without his toys, so he'd likely still be a crime fighter just less gimmicky and less worldly. So yeah, sorry, not true.

College education for everyone 7 comments

Is everything equal when you compete for jobs against people who all have the same degree, and only tenure in a field, connections, and social skills differentiate candidates? Do college grads not struggle to find employment in their field because it's competitive with the existing degrees out there? Never met barista with a masters? The public college system, already known for ample funding and not being crowded. Yes, you can get a degree from a college ran with the same care as our renowned public k-12 schools. America turns out more and higher skilled high level knowledge professionals than any other country. We make more scientists than there are labs And where do we get the money when Americans already won't fund healthcare everyone needs? Cut funding elsewhere? Lose the jobs generated by other spending so there are less jobs? Do we just give those layoffs jobs as teachers? Think free public school teacher pays the same as aerospace engineer? We can't pay our teachers as is.

The arguments: trump used obamas list, it isn't a Muslim ban, it's just Muslim countries, poison skittles.
- If so many trump supporters and trump himself think Obama was a lousy president, why use his list? If Obama made the list but never used it why might that be, and why would trump do it now? Why didn't he edit it to include countries like Saudi Arabia where 15 hijackers came from? Since he's all about "doing it better" why copy someone else's homework without adding his touch?
- I disagree on my views but can't carry burden of proof. You get this one.
- if you had a bowl with a few poison skittles no I wouldn't eat any. I'd buy my own or eat an apple or something. People arent skittles, and if all there was to eat in the world were your skittles I'd have to eat them; there's no choice there. All groups have poison skittles, white, Christian, Muslim, Asian, etc. in the history of the modern world whites have caused more death than any other race. Theres no argument.
