Some of us buy used cars that have had the manual filched. Even if there is one, you might have read about changing tires and missed the door lock details, so if you're outside the locked car, the book is out of reach. You might be able to get the online version on your computer in your locked house, but not if you're trying to get into your car on a rainy night. If you have a smart phone, okay, you might get information from that, but I have 3 dumb phones and 2 Toyotas, so I don't know why I'm writing this, except that friends with VWs might be interested, and I like to find a use for "filched."
