HA HA HA HA HA. These comments are priceless. What's that thing that girls say about rape. . . . . oh yeah, "it doesn't matter what you are wearing, you could be naked, you shouldn't get raped, blah blah blah". Then all the girls on here are saying this girl has no self-respect and she is just out for male attention. Make up your minds ladies, either your clothes have a direct effect on the way men perceive you or they don't. Can't have it both ways bitches. "Take back the night". . . . . more like "girls talking shite".

Whatever. It will always happen. It's human nature to identify and shun social outcasts. Don't be naive. The children doing the bullying are only children themselves after all.

Then you should protect him/her any way you can. The best way would be to tell them not to wear it to school, but to wear it at home instead. Teach him to take responsibility for his actions, even if the thing he has to do isn't what he wants to do (i.e. wearing normal clothes to school). Teach him that by not wearing the dress, he will avoid the bullying and humiliation that will eventually tear him apart from the inside. Don't be naive and tell me that what you look like doesn't matter, because it obviously does. Teach him that he has every right to feel what he feels but it is not always necessary or healthy to tell other people (by wearing the dress).

Be realistic now. Subjecting yourself to totally avoidable humiliation is not a noble character trait. It will probably lead to depression and maybe even suicide. The child has the power to change it but he refuses to do so. In Cognitive Behavioural Therapy this would be identified as an unhealthy behaviour that needs to be changed for the sake of his mental health. I would recommend that you educate yourself white stag.

Exactly, why would you wear a dress if you knew you were going to be bullied. Thats fucking stupid. Conformity is highly valued in society, and for good reason. Excluding outcasts is part of keeping society safe. I give you "free-thinkers" permission to downvote this, but the truth will prevail.

How about teaching them that bullying happens and they should take some responsibility for their actions. If they get bullied for something they can control, yet do it repeatedly, they are just as stupid as the bullies and may even end up as a medicated young adult with few prospects, shattered self-esteem and a chip on their shoulder. I don't see how that is a good thing.

I think the stance on tattoos has swung to the other side now; they are so common as to appear tacky. They don't signify a free-thinker, they signify a pretentious dick who has little respect for authority. "express yourself" they say. What a load of bollocks.

Can't be a free thinker with facts though. Some parents who force their ideologies onto the children, like vegans, are just as dangerous as parents who don't give a fuck. Children need nutrients that are much more easily absorbed from meat than from vegetables, especially when they eat physically less food.
