Oh get the fuck over it. Just buckle down and learn trig and read huck finn. There will be many more things in life that you will have to do that you hate. Build some mental fortitude. The reason high school is so "restrictive" is because structure is usually (not always, but usually) needed to inculcate successful habits. What would you rather do - go to math class after lunch or go fuck around and play video games all day? Yeah, me too, but the boring thing is often whats required of you to function in society.
"Why do we have to learn this? We're never gonna use it." Probably true for 80% of the stuff on the test. It's not necessarily the practical knowledge that you'll learn that is important - it's work habits, social habits, timeline adherence, and responsibility. That's the stuff that matters later.
