A friend of mine is an officer in the French army and each time he's been working with British or American teams, he was indeed blown away by their equipments (I agree on that point : French equipment sucks). But on the other side, my friend told me American soldiers seem to appreciate working with Frenchies because they do have good tactics, they are reliable and they use much more diplomacy in tensed situations (Americans tactics are more aggresive). Once, I was playing Arma and there was this bullshit conversation about French army. An American player -who used to be in the US Army- was then extremely pissed off and explained how underrated is the French army, for it saved his ass and his fellows' a couple of times. Just sayin'...
