It’s an identity crisis, we don’t know who we are. I think capitalism has eradicated so many problems that previously plagued mankind to the point where in the first world a lot of people are feeling separated from their humanity. For thousands of years our performance in the face of adversity is what defined our lives, could you raise crops, livestock, a barn, a family.
