No I have not. I know that this is a crappy defence: my best friend did and he told me that they were similar. I never tried either one, nor do I intend to. Please do not understand my question as if I was talking down to you.

There will always be suffering as long as humanity exists.
Christianty is not about making life free of suffering but about making it more bearable for everyone.
You are supposed to help each other and not to hurt people. It is that simple.
Donations are not supposed to buy you a place in heaven. You have to do good deeds yourself.
The people who do not understand that, or those who think that helping your neighbor means only helping those closest to you as long as they share your morals or your religion and exclude 'sinners', cannot be considered Christians at all.
There isn't really the need of a church at all.
Only the churches and preachers (of every creed btw) tell that to people...

I had a catalogue of Boteros paintings for some time. Imo they are the most dystopic and also nauseatingly accurate depictions of contemporary decadence. They disgust and repell me.
