Some people do it because it’s a passion and they want to do something productive. Teachers are needed if not you wouldn’t be able to write and make your stupid comment.

I mean I’m sure it was a lot easier back Then. Expectations were lower. Nowadays teachers must address every individuals students needs. Not saying that your father didn’t do it. But having to plan different activities for childr everyday is exhausting and leaves you with no time t write lesson plans or grade papers. On top of that add the fact that you must collect data from your students on a daily basis. Identify areas of needs and provide those children with support . You have to do all of that in 50 minutes if you’re lucky. Some schools will only give you a 45 minute period. Plus you have to buy your own supplies and at times you have to buy food, clothes and hygiene items for your children. Because once they step in that classroom they are yours for 10 months. Teachers never stop thinking about their students. Unless you work in the suburbs where poverty doesn’t exist. Then you’ll have time to do more. Unfortunately for some of us, this is reality.
