Actually there’s lots of different versions of these stories from different cultures. The Grims Brothers are the most popular, but there are different versions. Additionally many cultures have their own legends and tales which Disney could use for movies, such as they did with Moana and Mulan. I’m suggesting they use more of those. Assuming you can read, you’ll see I didn’t suggest altering the races of any of the characters, just including more people of color. Also the math still holds up :)

It’s this premesis which leads to the lost generations. This affected primarily aboriginal and native communities, wherein children from impoverished homes were easily displaced if parents couldn’t provide, were negligent, there was abuse, etc. But simultaneously because they’re native, they live in impoverished communities as a result of lack of gov funded education, job opportunities, etc. So it just became a cycle. Protecting the kids is important, but you have to address the core issue as well which is poverty in general.
