Two happy households are better for kids. You dont want to show them what a shitty relationship looks like because you're their example. As long as you don't blame your kids for a failing marriage and maybe some therapy you're good.

Or maybe when they made one of the best selling video game so far, getting over a billion in sales at launch weekend, they realized they could take a break. Plus they also released GTA online with it and that took a bit of work for awhile.
