It amazes me how people do that crap. One Christmas Eve we were trying to close (because it was 10 minutes after closing time) and this guy that was “just looking” wouldn’t leave. So finally he approached us and was like, “where’s your Christmas spirit?” And I couldn’t hold back... “it’s at home with our families.” Then he didn’t want to talk to us. Not that he left, he had to finish “just looking.”

The issue is about balance. Yeah, the CEO makes more because he is responsible for more, but he could shave an almost imperceptible amount of his salary and it would profoundly impact the pay of employees.
Also, just want to point out, in half a day, he is earning more than the employee will earn in an entire year.
