I personally feel like they used the term worshippers because not all Christians celebrate or observe Easter. I am not quite sure if worshippers was the right word but it's better than receiving "Not all Christians celebrate Easter, don't include us in one term" kind of comments from a tiny population of people who don't actually observe the holiday or event.
