The main point of calling her Matilda is to degrade her in that it points out she is an actress and, according to so many today, apparently actors/actresses can't have political opinions

(I'm using a bunch of examples from wiki to best summarize this) but if it's used in the correct terms, toxic masculinity is the "promotion of idealized masculine roles emphasizing toughness, dominance, self-reliance, and the restriction of emotion" that can result in violence, aggression, bullying, misogyny, homophobia, etc. It's like saying "boys will be boys" when they're bullying a kid at school, claiming that such toxic behavior is normal and inconsequential. It's basically a fixation on the stereotypical aspects of masculinity that takes them to extreme lengths.
Also, toxic masculinity isn't just harmful to women, it's harmful to everyone (yes, men included).
