I guess it depends on where you're from. That show was a big hit across Asia and Middle East, maybe even Africa (I'm not sure, btw). I heard some American channels offer the show as well, but those are the channels that also offer Asian shows.

Some of the movies on your list are already released. As for the rest, I'm pretty sure there are fans of them here too (including me), but everyone has different tastes. I gather that most of the users who commented have read the books that the movies come from, but may not have necessarily read the comics of the movies in your list. And if you've seen the amount of Hobbit posts here, I'm pretty sure plenty are excited for Hobbit. :)
