My hair tie looks like an old telephone cord so I can at least pretend it's part of my style.
Also spiraly hair ties like that are so good at holding your hair. Seriously, get one if you can.

Apart from that, m/d/y is illogical. It's neither ascending order nor descending order. For the rest of the planet (ie: non-US) it's utterly confusing, as any date with numbers under 12 appears wrongly (eg: 8/6/18 vs 6/8/18), and any date that has at least 1 number over 12 produces a brief mental hiccup as the brain tries to work out what's wrong and loses track of the info and context in the sentence (eg: 3/30/18).
Basically, Americans, just wrong, and confusing. Please stop doing it. There IS a world-standard dating system outside of your monocultural nirvanaic thought-bubble of a nation.

Also all of it isn't even half of your DNA considering that after crossing over occurs 2 out of the 4 will be completely different from your normal DNA.

Hey @guan2, the 1980’s called, they want their political propaganda back. Harvesting 128 animals out of a population of 100,000+ is not reprehensible (see www.iucnredlist.org/details/2480/0)
Also, more than half the population of Iceland is against whaling, and this is the last quota for the period 2013-2018, a period the prime minister doesn’t want to extend.

Have you even actually spoken to a 5 year old? No 5 year old Has the awareness to know the difference between a boy or girl deer based on its antlers. This is another of MANY bs posts trying to play up their (or their siblings) kids "genius" so I'm calling fake. Hell, maybe I'm wrong and id love that to be the case - we need more intelligence in this world - but I call it as I see it and I'm just too skeptical to believe this conversation happened.

^^^this. The generations don't matter as much. People are still people and you will have some good and some bad at all ages

But if the corn field was just going to lie fallow because the farm shut down, the forest is certainly an improvement. Which I assume is what happened.

My dog begs for tomatoes, and other vegs, and accepts it, then leaves in on the hallway carpet for someone to step on. I get this post totally.

Well, it may help to prevent whaling by Japan. They exploit the clause that you can catch whales if it's for scientific research. They kill hundreds of whales including calves for "science" and use them to make dog food and gourmet cuisine. Icelanders live on whale meat, there's not much else there anyway. So if this helps prevent Japan from decimating the whale population, it may give these creatures a fighting chance.

You have to pass different tests to get a dog in Switzerland, including dog training so you can be allowed to take the dog in public transport. They must be chipped and registered in the national database. You can't get one on a whim. Also, social animals like hamsters must never be alone, so you can't own only one hamster. Cat ownership, however, isn't as rigorously monitored.
