Mick Jagger dropped out of his business degree after having a lecture during the first semester talking about economics and cost-benefit analysis. He realised that he would make more money by being a musician, so took the business decision to drop out. Obviously doesn't work for everyone though.

It's not even that he got turned down that's the issue, it's the fact she bitched about it in a really rude way, rather than taking it as a compliment and moving on. She might think the guy is ugly, but as soon as those words come out of your mouth, that's a different thing altogether.
