My findings are as follow: I don't know who you are, where you live, what you look like, or anything else about you for that matter.

I see this mindset quite often in older people in my country (not trying to put them all in one bag though, also this is just my personal experience, yours may be completely different), we've got them to the point where they're finally okay with women working but still mostly promote traditional gender roles like women should cook and clean etc. Like, how is my X hours spent at work different from my bf's X hours and why should I be the one to do all the stuff after coming back from work while he can just sit his ass on the couch and watch TV? I really don't get that but I guess if you're raised into thinking that having a vagina somehow equates with cleaning and having a dick somehow equates with having a job, then you don't really think about things very much.

Osama bin laden came from wealth and privilege and had a western education. Ignorance does not cause terrorists; hatred does. They hate us because we are not Muslim. They also hate and kill other Muslims because they are not the same kind of Muslims. Anyone who claims we just need to understand these people and simply "educate" them is beyond ignorant themselves. Op and others of this asinine mindset are dangerous to themselves and the rest of us if they end up in any position of power where they can try to implement their shear stupidity. The problem with our education systems is that they focus purely on education from a secular point of view, never or hardly ever philosophical, spiritual, religious, or other perspectives.
People are simply taught what is and what isn't, not what could be, why it is or could be, and most importantly, how much of what is 'known' is merely theoretical and assumed.
