It was so unfortunate in a way bad things had happened on FS recently. As a guest of this site for a few years, may I suggest something?
We are people not machines, and people make mistakes. It seems to me that neither the previous or new owner of FS are with professional management capability.
There are worries from community that the website may cease to bring joy (ad. issue) or may bring data leak/sale issue.

I personally have faith in new owner, as I believe judgement is not going to bring things further (just my belief).
However, I would also encourage the new owner, if he/she has read this, to show up to us as soon as possible.
It is understood that you, the new owner, may wish to get more time greeting us. Maybe you are just one conservative being. However, there is already now a trust issue. Hiding from an issue is always the worst solution, and the longer it takes the more damage it will eventually cause.

Literally nobody is saying he's a pawn. He's a free agent who screwed Hillary in the election and is probably going to screw Trump before his term is up. Does it sick for democrats that he released the emails? Yes. Did he do things that sucked for republicans prior to that? Yes. He's playing both sides. That doesn't make anyone a hypocrite. Or maybe it makes both sides hypocrites.

I deleted my account last year because a lot of hate was going unchecked and just didn't want to be apart of it anymore. When I visited again and saw two ads before I could see the first post followed by an ad bar that stayed at the top while scrolling, I knew @Zeus and @chronos had made some changes. @bethorien They are so intrusive and I understand you guys want more revenue from something you put so much time and effort into but hear your community out. Good luck to all of you guys, it's been a wild 4 or 5 years and I wish you all the best!

The sales on short dated items vary by store in the US, for those making these comments and not actually ever grocery shopped here.
Discounts in "super stores" (Target, Walmart, etc.) can, but not always, go to 50-80% off for things that need to be used in the next 2-3 days. Easiest place for them to do this is in bakery items, but I've seen yogurt go from being $1 each down to $.33 each. Some grocery stores will add coupons, best place I've found for this is Harris Teeters w/ a standard $#off for remainder, where due to sales I've gotten paid (change but still) for buying things (like the cheese & nut snack packs) that were about to be un-sellable due to dates even though they were perfectly fine.
They may not do this free, but when I'm paying $2.04 for 1lb of butter at Walmart, $5 for a 3lb+ rotisserie chicken at Costco, I want to say $3, $1/lb for tomatoes on the vine, $2/3lb bag of oranges, our daily prices (not Whole Foods types) are dramatically better for meats than Europe.
