I don't think I understand this post all the way. As a person who is currently in middle school, even though I always get A's and B's on assignments, they took effort and hard work. I find the two to go hand in hand, and if you get really good grades (like myself usually) I feel like you should be praised for both. I know that if my parents didn't congratulate me on always having A's for all of my class averages, I would be upset. Why? Because the grades ARE my efforts and hard work.
