Soon we will get trophies for existing 7 comments

As someone who grew up in the "everyone gets a trophy" generation 1. It's actually a rare occurance and 2. Everyone knows when they lose, it really doesn't change much it just gives the appearance of it. Ive never got a participation and been like "ooh yay I won" nobody does that.

I can’t process complex carbs very well, so I do paleo. Really, really, REALLY helped me. Went from being headache and exhaustion to normal within a few weeks. Congrats on figuring out what works for you!!

Best part is that we can quantify the force they are talking about. So long as a_c<a_g the ocean stays on. A_c is v^2/r. A_g is 9.81 m/s^2

I love super vivid dreams 31 comments
guest · 6 years ago
Although lately I keep waking up at 2am and fall back asleep and the dream resumes but now as a nightmare. Like the first half is me being taken in by a kind family and having dinner with them and the second half is them wanting my corpse to animate as a slave as payment and trying to bludgeon me to death when I show signs of not cooperating.

That usually causes me to fall back asleep. Sometimes the dream continues, sometimes not. Either way, I sleep past my alarm...

Cost of a wedding circa 1957 23 comments
guest · 6 years ago
To be accurate, that's the cost of the RECEPTION. No mention of the cost of the dress...which apparently women sometimes spend >$5000 on for a one time use (today's dollars). Also, 30+ years ago, nobody had a destination wedding, obligating guests to,spend a buttload of money just to get to.

You can still have a reception in the equivalent in today's dollars. I've been to several where friends and relatives made the food and people served themselves buffet style. It might. It be a princess's dream wedding reception, but some couples foot their own bill rather than rely on daddy's limitless checkbook.
Who designed ???? 12 comments

It's called "life." You have to put effort/time/expertise/conscientiousness into your efforts for any return or gain. Why don't friends just immediately become your BF without anything from your side? Why doesn't the object of your affection fall for you the second you notice him/her/whatever? Why doesn't your house clean itself? Why doesn't money fall into your pockets? Why does the person who gets in a program of exercise and eats healthy food and bypasses junk food get to look better and feel better that you when you do the opposite?

It's just not fair! Who do we sue?

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red?
And what the hell is on Joey's head?
This is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneakin' out
And this is where I went to school
Most of the time I had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must of done it half a dozen times
I wonder if it's too late
Should I go back and try to graduate?
Lot's better now than it was back then
If I was them, I wouldn't let me in
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, God, I
Every memory of lookin' out the back door
I have the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it
Time to say it
Good bye, good bye
Every memory of walkin' out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was lookin' for
It's hard to say it
Time to say it
Good bye, good bye, good bye
Remember the old arcade?
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They said some

Literally everyone who knows anything about history knows the parties switched sides in the 20s to 40s. You could make the same thing for conservatives. Nike makes an ad with Cappernick? Haven't seen the conservatives this mad since we took away their slaves.
