I really appreciate your point - but also, I wish they would find a different way to ask if I'm uncomfortable!

The angle of it looks intense, but there's not "that much" distance between most chairs and the slope. It wouldn't be fun, but it's like 7-10 feet from the ground usually (and when there's snow it's a "soft" buffer) which is easily survivable with minimal injury if you don't land on your head/neck.

I ( as a man) have been shot in the neck with a paintball... When people asked me in the mail what happened, I would just smile and wink, and they thought I got lucky ;-)

The only problem with this is that a lot of cars now are only started with a push to start button. I can open my car no problem, but I miss having a key in the ignition!

She literally said she loved him and would keep him in her prayers. You can love someone without approving of their actions or compromising your beliefs.

It's Time To D-D-D-D-D-D-Change out your deck man 3 comments

I once had an idea of making one of those giant rectangle party pizzas and cutting it into playing-card-sized pieces and using toppings to make the numbers and suits, like a 3 of mini pepperoni or a 7 of olives, etc. And then you could play War with them. Except if you beat the opponent's card, you don't add the cards back to your deck, you just eat them. So you have to fight to eat, and if you lose the war, you starve.

Did anyone else see the report about the twin teenage girls that were wanted by police bc they would put a pillow under their shirts to look pregnant so people would feel sorry & give them more money when they begged? I don't remember which state it was in but they would be on different corners every night & made a few hundred $$s every night. It's pretty messed up how they could look themselves in the mirror & be ok using strangers(or anyone for that matter) like that!

Id buy an immediate annuity that would pay about 4.5% per month of the amount invested. Then when my bank balance returned to normal, I'd still be getting those gigantic. On they checks.
Oh, and kids and animals. I'd use some to help kids and animals.

Without saying if teachers are underpaid or overpaid or something else, I'll point out that they do get benefits most of the rest of us don't:
-All summer off plus a Christmas break plus maybe spring break vs. the rest of our two to four weeks of vacation.
-More job security than most of us and better insurance benefits.
-A pension.
Also, I and many other engineers work unpaid overtime to keep your car's air bags operating correctly or your plane safe or any of several other things. Teaching looks like a difficult job for someone like me, but for a person with a different mind set it could be perfect and also offer a lot of benefits besides the amount of the paycheck.

Mummies in ancient Egypt had all of their organs removed fron their bodies as part of the mummification process. Their brains were taken out of their skulls with a hook via their nostrils.
