As someone who has passed through suicidal periods, I think you SHOULD be able to joke about it. It makes things just that little bit more lighthearted. People who are genuinely feeling suicidal hate the pity more than the jokes about suicide. And I think we should also stop blaming other people for a person's suicide; you can't make someone commit suicide with your words. A suicidal person isn't thinking rationally (usually), so logic doesn't apply in that situation. Only people who don't understand mental illness believe that (melodramatic and sentimental teenage girls for example).

A drug with such addictive power would have to produce such a huge surge in dopamine that the physiological and psychological comedown would be so hideous as to cause a deep apathetic depression that might result in a bit of an anticlimactic apocolypse and may actually kill them through starvation. Ironic really :) Suicide might be an option too. Anything else?

#####Spoiler Alert##### Unless you saw the film "A good day to die hard" where they used "special gas" to neutralise the radiation in chernobyl in order to break in. That was pretty funny, the rest of the film was good though.
